I’ve been drawing and painting since early childhood. As a teenager, I spent hours holed up in my room experimenting with watercolors. Most of my early work was inspired by Dartmoor, where I grew up: a glorious landscape of rugged hills, twisted trees, racing clouds, mist, bracken, jewel-green fields. Nowadays I’m doing lots of printmaking and have become obsessed with trying to capture the LA River. I’m also exploring the theme of energy - how we generate it, how it flows, how it forms the basis of everything.
