Ermington Sustainable Saturdays

Ermington Sustainable Saturdays is a bimonthly event where locals gather to buy, swap, and sell anything from gardening tools and seeds to second-hand clothes and home-baked goods. The group has been running for 10 years, promoting simple, everyday sustainable choices as well as a sense of belonging and community. I helped out by designing an A5 poster for printing and putting up around the village.

The poster draws on a playful, wholesome color palette and illustrations that feel something like the felt-tip drawings I used to do as a kid. The layout is carefully poised between approachable and fun: the sort of thing that won’t look out of place on a village noticeboard, but will hopefully make a few people, old and young, stop and look closer.
